i am looking for a free pattern for a tumbling blocks quilt.?

i cant tell what shape the quilt pieces are by the pictures. any help will be appreciated.

The tumbling blocks pattern is also sometimes called baby blocks, and the attic windows pattern also uses the Y seam. The traditional way of doing it involves cutting fabric in diamond shapes, then piecing them together. In this method, you have Y seams or set-in seams, which are a little more challenging. To cut perfect diamonds, you need a ruler that can measure a 60 degree angle and a 120 degree angle. There are actually diamond shaped rulers out there with markings for different size blocks. If you use the traditional method, it’s worth it to get one of these rulers. One common ruler is called the EZ Six (by EZ Quilting). Quilters have come up with alternate methods for accomplish the same look and avoiding the Y seams.

The links below include a review of a diamond ruler, an explanation of how to do the Y seams (demonstrated in the attic windows block), a paper pieced Tumbling Blocks that avoids using Y seams, and a strip piecing method that avoids Y seams, and uses a special ruler (although you can probably use a regular ruler).
